On Saturday 15th April 2023 our PGM, R. W. Bro. Raymond Walton, along with the DPGM, V. W. Bro Richard Northey, and the APGM, W. Bro Paul Hilditch, were on their travels again.
This time to the Annual Provincial Meeting of West Yorkshire which, as usual, was held in the magnificent Bradford Grammar School. The traditional very warm Yorkshire welcome was given by their PGM R. W. Bro. Jim Steggles along with the members of the Province.
There then followed a very enjoyable Provincial meeting during which, after the appointment and investiture of the officers of the year, a number of very substantial donations were made to the Province in the run up to the finale of the West Yorkshire Festival in aid of the Mark Benevolent Fund.
Also, included in his address, the PGM R. W. Bro Jim announced that all RAM Lodges in the Province had achieved Grand Patron Diamond status. This is unique in the Constitution and many congratulations go to the Province and the Lodges on achieving this impressive and unparalleled landmark.
After the meeting had closed, in a change to the usual practice, everyone was transferred to the Midland Hotel in the centre of Bradford. There then followed an excellent meal in spectacular surroundings among good friends.
Another wonderful day of Mark Masonry!

The Travelling Sceptre, without the use of a Satnav, has found its way back to Whitley Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners No 788. It’s there to be rescued.
The Travelling Gavel has left Whitley Bay and moved from the furthest east of the Province to the furthest west and is now in the possession of Hexham Lodge of Mark Master Masons No 1141. Perhaps it can now make its way to the far north to compete the Northumberland triangle.
