Royal Ark Mariners Assembly 2023

On Tuesday 4th April 2023 the Province of Northumberland held its Annual Assembly of Royal Ark Mariners under the Banner of Triangle Lodge of Installed Commanders No 1483 as usual. However, this year there was a change to the venue, it being held at Ashington Masonic Hall. This proved to be very successful. The meeting went smoothly without a hitch and this was testimony to all the hard work put in, especially by the Secretariat, to ensure that all went well on the night.

On this occasion the Provincial Grand Master, R. W. Bro. Raymond Walton, appointed three brethren to RAMProvGR and these were,

Bro. John Bryan of Hartford Lodge RAM No 546
Bro. Brian Hagleburg of Blagdon Lodge RAM No 547
Bro. Ian Townsley of Hexham Lodge RAM No 1161

Many congratulations go those brethren who received their appointments, they were all very well deserved, and we hope that they have many happy and healthy years to enjoy their new ranks.

W. Bro. Ray also took the opportunity to present two Honorifics on behalf of the Mark Benevolent Fund to W. Bro. Neville Topping and W. Bro. Michael Pitkeathley both of De La Val Lodge RAM No 1290. The PGM thanked them for their donations to the Fund saying how important donations such as theirs were to the tremendous charitable work done by the Fund.

With the Assembly over everyone then retired to the Festive Board where a very enjoyable time in the company of good friends was had by all.

Many thanks to the Secretariat and DC’s team for all their hard work to ensure that the meeting went well and enable us all to have such an enjoyable evening.

An especial thanks must also go to all of the staff at Ashington Masonic Hall for the first-class meal and excellent service which was provided which helped make it such a successful event.

Well done to all concerned.

This was another wonderful evening where the ‘Magic of the Mark’ was on full display.

The Great North Air Ambulance receives Grant from MBF

The Travelling Sceptre, without the use of a Satnav,  has found its way back to Whitley Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners No 788.   It’s there to be rescued.

The Travelling Gavel has left Whitley Bay and moved from the furthest east of the Province to the furthest west and is now in the possession of Hexham Lodge of Mark Master Masons No 1141.   Perhaps it can now make its way to the far north to compete the Northumberland triangle.
