A great time was had by all who attended and the evening ended with a cheque for the wonderful amount of £1500 being presented by our PGM R W Bro Ray Walton to Rebecca Steward, the representative of our nominated local Charity for the evening, Pathways 4 All. Rebecca was absolutely delighted to receive the donation from us saying how much it would help towards the provision of their services.
Pathways 4 All is a parent-led Charity providing services for children and young people with disabilities/additional needs (0-25 years old). The charity is based at the Tim Lamb Centre in the grounds of the Rising Sun Country Park and the centre offers specialist activity and leisure facilities for disabled children/young people and their families. The Centre is open to families with a child/young person at any stage of their diagnostic journey and whatever their additional needs. The facilities include a soft play area, a well equipped sensory room, a large multi-purpose hall with indoor trampolines, a toddler playroom, teenage/games and a computer suite. There is also a large fully enclosed outdoor playground which includes a range of inclusive play and sensory equipment.
The Charity also offers short break care services including Saturday club activities for younger children, a Friday night youth club for teens; plus term-time supervised social activities for young disabled adults. In addition, the Charity also has two subsidised caravans available for member families to hire. One is at Haggerston Castle and the other is in Cumbria.
A lot of hard work went into organising this very successful evening and our grateful thanks go to our Mark Social team for all of their efforts along with thanks to Shiremoor Masonic Hall and it’s team for the use of the building and facilities. Also many thanks to all who attended to support the evening and to those who donated the raffle prizes. Without you we couldn’t make such fabulous donations to worthwhile organisations like this.
Another wonderful example of the ‘Magic of the Mark’.

MBF 2031 Festival Ties and Tokens
The Travelling Sceptre, without the use of a Satnav, has found its way back to Whitley Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners No 788. It’s there to be rescued.
The Travelling Gavel has left Whitley Bay and moved from the furthest east of the Province to the furthest west and is now in the possession of Hexham Lodge of Mark Master Masons No 1141. Perhaps it can now make its way to the far north to compete the Northumberland triangle.
