On Wednesday 22^nd March 2023 Northumberland and Berwick upon Tweed Lodge of Mark Masters Time Immemorial achieved another milestone in it’s long and illustrious history when it’s longest serving member W Bro David Melvin was presented with two 50 Year Membership Certificates to celebrate his years of service to Mark Masonry by Right Worshipful Brother Raymond Arthur Walton, Provincial Grand Master. The certificates presented were on behalf of the Grand Lodge of Mark Master Masons and the Mark Province of Northumberland

W Bro David was advanced into Mark Masonry on 28^th February 1973, and on 23rd January 1974 was Elevated into Northumberland and Berwick upon Tweed Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners Time Immemorial which is moored to the Mark Lodge.

The PGM shared some recollections of 1973 with W Bro David and the rest of the brethren of the lodge including mentioning the 3-day week, industrial disruption and power cuts. Not a lot has changed in fifty years! During this conversation the number of PGMs that W Bro David has worked alongside was mentioned and he recalled each one of them.
