The Brethren in the Province of Northumberland are only too well aware of the importance of the Northumberland Mark Benevolent Fund, providing help for Mark Masons, dependants and their families at time of need. The NMBF also supports local non-Masonic Charities.
One way of supporting the NMBF is to leave a Legacy to the Charity in your Will.
A suitable wording to be used is as follows:
“I give to the Northumberland Mark Benevolent Fund the sum of [insert amount in words] pounds [insert amount in figures] absolutely free of all Tax. The receipt of the Treasurer or other authorised officer for the time being of the Northumberland Benevolent Fund shall be a good and sufficient receipt of the bequest.”
If you have already made a Will you could still leave a Legacy to the NMBF by adding a Codicil to it. A Codicil to your Will leaving a Legacy to the NMBF can be prepared for you free of charge.
If you require any further information or wish to make a Codicil to your Will please contact W Bro Dennis Beecroft, the Secretary of the Northumberland Mark Benevolent Fund, Email: [email protected]
BREAKING NEWS
MBF 2031 Festival Ties and Tokens
The Travelling Sceptre, without the use of a Satnav, has found its way back to Whitley Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners No 788. It’s there to be rescued.
The Travelling Gavel has left Whitley Bay and moved from the furthest east of the Province to the furthest west and is now in the possession of Hexham Lodge of Mark Master Masons No 1141. Perhaps it can now make its way to the far north to compete the Northumberland triangle.
