Another visit on 29th April, this time to the Mark Province of Derbyshire for their Annual Provincial Meeting which was attended by our DPGM, V. W. Bro Richard Northey. This took place in the splendid Masonic Hall in Littleover, near Derby, where a warm welcome was given by their PGM, R. W. Bro. Graeme Hutchinson, along with the other members of the Province.
There then followed a very enjoyable Provincial meeting in pleasant surroundings with the usual Provincial business taking place which included the appointment and investiture of the Provincial Grand Officers of the year.
Congratulations to all those who were appointed and invested and we hope they enjoy their new ranks and have a very happy and enjoyable year in office. After the meeting had closed there then followed an excellent meal in superb surroundings with good friends.
Another day of Mark Magic!
BREAKING NEWS
The Great North Air Ambulance receives Grant from MBF
The Travelling Sceptre has found its way to the very far north of the Province to Berwick-upon-Tweed and now resides in the care of St Cuthbert’s Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners No 192. It’s there to be won, but the Lodge only meets twice a year on the 1st Wednesday in May and October, and that’s the challenge.
The Travelling Gavel has left Whitley Bay and moved from the furthest east of the Province to the furthest west and is now in the possession of Hexham Lodge of Mark Master Masons No 1141. Perhaps it can now make its way to the far north to compete the Northumberland triangle.
