Tristram Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners No 346 - Double Elevation

Tristram Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners No 346 held a very special and rare meeting on 11th April 2023. This was to welcome into the Order, father and son, John and Richard Freeman.

Richard was advanced into Tristram Lodge of Mark Master Masons  No 346 in February 2020 and John was advanced into the same Lodge in December 2021. They were then both encouraged to join the very beautiful degree of Royal Ark Mariner to continue their masonic journey.

The Worshipful Commander, David Bibby Prov.R.A.M.G.R., ably assisted by the officers of the Lodge, conducted an excellent double Elevation Ceremony and welcomed both new members into the Order.

The evening then concluded with an excellent meal in very pleasant surroundings.

Both John and Richard had a wonderful evening which was made all the more special as they were elevated into the Order together, highly recommending both the Mark and Royal Ark Mariner Degrees to any brother.

We congratulate John and Richard for joining this Degree and wish them many happy and enjoyable years together in both Orders.

BREAKING NEWS

The Great North Air Ambulance receives Grant from MBF

The Travelling Sceptre has found its way to the very far north of the Province to Berwick-upon-Tweed and now resides in the care of St Cuthbert’s Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners No 192.   It’s there to be won, but the Lodge only meets twice a year on the 1st Wednesday in May and October, and that’s the challenge.

The Travelling Gavel has left Whitley Bay and moved from the furthest east of the Province to the furthest west and is now in the possession of Hexham Lodge of Mark Master Masons No 1141.   Perhaps it can now make its way to the far north to compete the Northumberland triangle.
