On Wednesday 22nd March 2023 Northumberland and Berwick upon Tweed Lodge of Mark Masters Time Immemorial achieved another milestone in it’s long and illustrious history when it’s longest serving member W Bro David Melvin was presented with two 50 Year Membership Certificates to celebrate his years of service to Mark Masonry by Right Worshipful Brother Raymond Arthur Walton, Provincial Grand Master. The certificates presented were on behalf of the Grand Lodge of Mark Master Masons and the Mark Province of Northumberland
W Bro David was advanced into Mark Masonry on 28th February 1973, and on 23rd January 1974 was Elevated into Northumberland and Berwick upon Tweed Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners Time Immemorial which is moored to the Mark Lodge.
The PGM shared some recollections of 1973 with W Bro David and the rest of the brethren of the lodge including mentioning the 3-day week, industrial disruption and power cuts. Not a lot has changed in fifty years! During this conversation the number of PGMs that W Bro David has worked alongside was mentioned and he recalled each one of them.
Congratulations to W Bro David on this magnificent milestone

MBF 2031 Festival Ties and Tokens
The Travelling Sceptre, without the use of a Satnav, has found its way back to Whitley Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners No 788. It’s there to be rescued.
The Travelling Gavel has left Whitley Bay and moved from the furthest east of the Province to the furthest west and is now in the possession of Hexham Lodge of Mark Master Masons No 1141. Perhaps it can now make its way to the far north to compete the Northumberland triangle.
