Provincial Visit to Blagdon Lodge of Mark Master Masons

On Wednesday 7th December 2022 Blagdon Lodge of Mark Master Masons, No 547 was honoured with a Provincial Visit led by V W Bro Richard Northey, PGJO, Deputy Provincial Grand Master who was accompanied by a fine deputation of Provincial Officers.

V W Brother Richard Northey PGJO, and the Officers of Provincial Grand Lodge and were welcomed into the by the Worshipful Master W Bro George Betts.

The main item of the evening was to a talk was given by W Bro Clive Robson, PAGDC, titled “A Masonic History of Jerusalem”.  It was very well received by the Brethren with spontaneous applause at the conclusion.   The Worshipful Master thanked W Bro Robson for the research he had undertaken in producing a very informative and thought-provoking talk and asked the Brethren to again show their appreciation in the customary manner.

V W Brother Northey requested the Provincial Deputy Grand Director of Ceremonies to present W Bros Scott and Wells to him.   The Deputy Provincial Grand Master gave a brief talk on the work of the Mark Benevolent Fund, and before presenting W Bros Scott and Wells with their collars read out the letters of commendation from HRH Prince Michael of Kent, President of the Mark Benevolent Fund, which accompany each award.   He then presented W Bro Scott with the Grand Patron collar and W Bro Wells with the Patron collar congratulating them on achieving these awards and for their contributions to, and support of, the Mark Benevolent Fund.

The evening concluded with an excellent meal thoroughly enjoyed by all present.

2031 MBF Festival Launch Dinner Dance

The Great North Air Ambulance receives Grant from MBF

The Travelling Sceptre, without the use of a Satnav,  has found its way back to Whitley Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners No 788.   It’s there to be rescued.

The Travelling Gavel has left Whitley Bay and moved from the furthest east of the Province to the furthest west and is now in the possession of Hexham Lodge of Mark Master Masons No 1141.   Perhaps it can now make its way to the far north to compete the Northumberland triangle.
